The Roaring Northerners are Dave Stewart, John Hill and Iain Robertson; a loose affiliation of tabletop wargamers and figure painters who inhabit the frozen and somewhat soggy wastelands of west central Scotland. Shadowy and secretive, they stoically quest to reduce the scale of the lead mountain that threatens to engulf them all, and perhaps even find the time for the occasional game...

The Ambush Alley Czechoslovakian force is as follows.

All figures by Elhiem, vehicles from kits, 20mm.

Callsign 211 and six man dismount.

Czech made variants of AK-74, RPK-74 and RPG-7

Callsign 233 and six man dismount.

AK-74 and RPG-7.

Callsign 352 and Platoon HQ.

AK-74 with grenade launcher, Dragunov rifles, RPK-74, Officer and Radio Op.

Support weapons.

RPG-75, SAM-18, SPG-9, PKM.

Now.......where did I put those Mediaevals?.......and the FaIW figures.......?

As ever all comments pro and con gratefully received.

Cheers.

David.

  1. Awesome mate, looking forward to seeing these in the flesh, so to speak! Unfortunately it would appear that the S-Models BMP-1s are now out of production, so any future transports will need to be sourced elsewhere (MT-LBs would be a good shout...). I had to resort to ebay to get some from China to horde for my 70s Soviets (future project to face the winter USAEUR force)
